May 2012 - Team Lick Racing
Team Lickracing went to Pembrey to the NGRRC rounds to test some changes to the braking system on the Lumley Kawasaki.
Paul Skinner passengered for Dean as Ashley Moore who could not make the weekend. Dean and Paul mixed it up with some F1s and had a great day and some good racing with results to match, albeit a reduced field.
They finished the day with 2 x 1sts in the F2 class and 2 x 2nd overall, but best of all, dropping the laptimes from previous by 1 second.
There is still work to do on the brakes to improve them, so it is back to Lumley Engineering workshop for some more late nights for Mr Lumley before Oulton.

VICTORY!!!!! Oly takes a double win to dominate at Pembrey!
At the weekend Pembrey reverberated to the sounds of thunder as the titans of motorsport began the 2012 Delphi BTRA Truck Racing Championship.
After an up and down 2011 season Oly and the team had an amazing start to the 2012 season with Oly taking his maiden win in race one quickly followed by another dominant win in race two.
Oly also got the fastest lap in race two to take 21 points and head the class B championship by 3 points over Dave Smith.
Reflecting on his two wins Oly said "I cant' believe it... I was so calm and relaxed. I just concentrated on keeping the truck on the track..."
It was with a big smile that Oly proudly collected his 2 first place trophies.
